Crashing to the point to where I can't play BF3

By Mateoski. 9 months ago

Hey guys. I've been playing Battlefield 3 for about two weeks and I'm enjoying it. A lot actually. More than Modern Warfare 3. The problem with BF3 for me is that I can only play for 3-10 minutes, then the game just crashes.

It just says "Battlefield 3.exe has stopped working" and I crash back to the desktop and it's beginning to get annoying. I've tried updating and reinstalling BF3 though Origin and I still have no success. I've had my PC since 2009. Graphics cards aren't the issue (but I could be wrong). In June, I called in a PC repair man to fix it with an even better hard drive. Currently, I'm running a 32 bit system.

Anyone got any suggestions?

Battlefield 3 is on Origin. Not on Steam.

    BF3 isn't on Steam, it's on Origin. It's a different platform.

BF3 isn't on Steam so that's not going to be the problem.

the only thing i can think of is to reinstall the game client. if the reinstall of my CS:S doesn't work, that's what i was going to try next

It might be worth provided more details than just the generic crash message. Try turning off Origin for ingame (it's in origins settings somewhere) and see if that helps. Also what's your graphics card?
